Freelancer portfolio website with email — custom domain, one bill

Why a custom domain email address matters

Sending client proposals from a Gmail or Outlook address signals that you treat your freelance work as a side project. A professional email address on your own domain — hello@yourname.com or yourname@yourstudio.com — signals the opposite. It takes seconds to notice and minutes to judge.

Getting a portfolio site with custom domain email used to require three separate purchases from three separate providers: a domain registrar, a hosting provider, and an email host. QENEX covers all three in one subscription. One login, one invoice, one renewal date.

What a freelancer portfolio website should include

A freelancer portfolio website with email needs to answer three questions for every visitor: what do you do, what have you done, and how do they contact you. The site does not need to be complex. It needs to load quickly, work on mobile, and not look like it was built in 2012.

QENEX builds portfolio sites that include: an introduction section describing your services and specialisms, a work or projects section, a contact form that delivers to your new email address, and clear navigation. Mobile performance and accessibility are tested as part of the build — not as an afterthought.

What is included

  • Domain registration — your choice of .com, .co.uk, .io, .design, or any of hundreds of available TLDs. Registered in your name, renewed as part of your subscription.
  • Portfolio website — built to your brief, tested across three browsers and four screen sizes before you pay. No placeholder content, no "under construction" pages.
  • Professional email mailbox — hello@ or yourname@ on your domain, with DKIM, SPF, and DMARC configured so your emails pass spam filters. IMAP and SMTP access included — works with any email client.

The Essential plan is £8 per month (£96 per year), covering everything above. The Pro plan is £20 per month (£240 per year) and adds the AI Design Studio for a custom-designed site with a more detailed brief.

No renewal surprises

Domain registrar, hosting provider, email host — each comes with its own annual renewal, its own billing cycle, and its own price increase policy. Freelancers who sign up for three separate services at introductory rates often find that the combined renewal cost in year two is significantly higher than they expected.

QENEX charges one flat rate per month or per year. Domain renewal is included. The price you see is the price you pay at renewal.

Built before billing

We register your domain, build your portfolio site, provision your email address, and run an automated quality audit before any payment is requested. The audit covers performance, accessibility, and rendering across multiple browsers. You see the completed site before you are asked to pay for it.

If the site does not pass our quality checks, we fix it first. You are billed only once the site is working correctly.
